Hi good forum peoples! I was looking at a Beatles photo blog that I follow and I saw a George Harrison with a bunch of musicians who don't look like the usual rock stars/friends that he usually play with...

That made me think that Harrison was a musician first, and musicians loves to play, period. So without the pression of "performing" a live set with songs that he had to rehearse with a band, he just can step on the stage and have fun! We all know the Taj Mahal show from 1987...
...and an other show from around 2000/2001 with a signer from Quebec, Canada called Garou...

I wonder (I'm certain) if there's other "spontaneous" live pictures with "nobodys" aka musicians.

    All the best!
    Stephane

Didn't know about the Taj Mahal show either. What did he play on at each show?

For the first picture I found this website!
"Our first show, under the guise of Brocket's Timelords was a New Year's Eve bash with the late great George Harrison and Formula One World Champion Damon Hill! "

^^^Besides the music, the best parts for me are just seeing Dylan smiling so much. Arnie

He played "Lucille" with Deep Purple during the second show in Sydney Australia in December of 1984. The show was filmed professionally as well.

Has Paul ever been recorded singing Honey Don't? This video of George makes me remember that both John and of course Ringo have taken a turn.

I can't remember all the details....but wasn't his first 'spontaneous' gig at some VFW or American Legion hall in surburban Illinois around October 1963 when he was visiting his sister, Louise, in the States...prior to the BEatles invasion? Now that is something I wish was recorded !

i love the impromptu VH1 gig. He may not sing as high as he used to, but he manages to please regardless. All Things Must Pass works remarkably well with the vocal melody toned down a bit.

    Great photos.

The Taj Mahal show has been "moving about" amongst fans since the late 1980's.

The performance with Garou is news to me. Does anyone know what songs he played and if he sang?
