As a life long fan of the iconic Air Max 90, I was thrilled to see Nike offering an “easy on” version for kids that still retains the classic looks of the original shoe.

As soon as a took the shoes out of the box, my son was ecstatic to have “shoes with the bubble” like mine. The way they added the heel pull tab and the Velcro attachment for the laces takes nothing away from this legendary silhouette.

It was as easy as advertised for my son (who’s not yet trying his shoes) to get the shoes on and off, and that also means they should last longer since he won’t be walking around in untied shoes or pulling his foot out of them when they’re still tied.

They feel well constructed with a nicely cushioned sole. Sizing is in line with his other Nike shoes and the materials are general fairly soft and accommodating. One touch I especially like is that the uppers are pretty much all rubber and leather with no mesh, which will make keeping the shoes clean much easier. This is especially important in the triple white colorway he’s wearing.

The Air Max 90 is one of my favorite shoes of all time and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this EasyOn version to anyone whose kids aren’t quite at shoe tying but want something more “grown up looking” than traditional Velcro straps.

These are perfect shoes for my active 3 year old son. It was a little tight initially putting it on. Once his foot was in, it was an awesome fit. The sizing is true to size compared to other various Nike footwear.

The fabric is very durable. It appears to be leather and easy to clean. It has not scuffed at all since he’s wore it to school and the playgrounds.

I did like how it’s a classic style and easy to match with other family members. My son didn’t tumble or trip while wearing these shoes. He was able to run around easily without tearing up the shoes. My son will ask to wear these and seems to prefer them over other shoes. My son wont protest or complain wearing these which is a win. If I was to change something I would make it a little easier for your child to put it on themselves. The durability and high quality make it a quality shoe for a child.

My son has destroyed other shoe brands in the playground. These shoes have withstood the damage and still look brand new.

The Air Max 90 shoes are and have been classic Nikes for a long time, and the easy on version for kids does not disappoint. Air Max’s have always been a comfortable go to shoe and my daughter loved how they feel on her feet. We had no issues with her wearing them all day and playing on the playground. They are super versatile in style so she can wear them with leisure clothes or even on more formal occasions. The best part and what I like the most is that there no laces that come undone! She can just slip them on and off and go as she pleases. I don’t have to worry about constantly helping her tie are shoes or running late because she’s struggling with getting them tied herself. The design holds true to how I remember wearing them back in the day and it’s a shoe that never goes out of style. The leather feels durable and strong enough to last even the toughest kids on shoes. My daughter and I love these shoes.

If you’re looking for that classic look with the convenience of just throwing them on without the worries of laces then the Air Max 90 Easy On is the shoe for your child. From my child’s perspective, they are comfortable and make him feel tall. They fit very well and true to size on him. The leather material is not the best quality but it seems like it will hold up well through wears. The only thing that I’d change is the plain black color. I would love to see a lot of fun colors on this silhouette. I like it mostly because it’s an Air Max 90. You can’t ever go wrong with such a classic silhouette. The overall design is a classic and can be eye catching if the right color combination is added to it. Could be a popular choice for a lot of children and parents.
