These packing cubes are fantastic! They converted me from a person who was strongly against packing cubes to someone who loved these so much that I just bought a second set.

The ones I had tried before these were not strong enough to actually pack down. They either weren't made for that or the zippers were too weak. I could always pack more efficiently without them. These Thule cubes don't have that problem. I have no idea what I decided to try these while packing for a SE Asia backpacking trip, but I'm glad I did! They helped me keep all my things organized in just 1 open backpack with no compartments. I have these in white and the slightly see through material is super helpful because I can be reminded which cube is holding what. My one recommendation to Thule would be to add other size variations.

The material is semi-transparent, so it lets a fair amount of light through. You can’t see the items inside, but you can see their color. There’s a handle on the backside of the top of the packing cube. It’s super thin & has no padding or anything on it. It’s basic, but it does its job well. You can grab it from your daypack or travel backpack, carry it to the bathroom, etc., without issue. When the cube is full, compressing it is relatively easy. We like to use two hands, one on the zipper & another just in front of it to hold the track closed.

Used this item for my 10 day trip. Had two medium and two small. I was able to fit about 8 shirts (rolled or folded) in a medium size cube. The zippers are color coded, black for opening and white for the compression. They are easy to open and close. I was also able to fit 3 rolled cargo pants in one medium bag. The small bag can fit 10 boxers rolled or 12 pairs of folded socks. There are cheaper compression cubes put this is a good investment if you plan to travel frequently. The quality of the materials are definitely felt during usage. Nylon and YKK zippers.

I like Thule products for travel and the Clean/Dirty Packing Cube is a nice addition to my gear. I used this item on a recent 4 day trip and I no issues. The zippers are very strong, both worked well.

The material is also pretty strong while being lightweight. The Clean/Dirty Packing Cube isn't compressible so using it when I'm flying with one bag does present some challenges. Especially if you over pack. Cause now you can't fit the uncompressed clothes back into your luggage.

That said I'll keep it around for when I'm taking longer trips and have a check-in bag.
