Elizabeth Griffith (1727 – 5 January 1793) was an 18th-century Welsh-born dramatist, fiction writer, essayist and actress, who lived and worked in Ireland.
Elizabeth Griffith was an Irish dramatist, fiction writer, essayist and actress, best known for her edition of Shakespeare's comedies published in 1775. She was the daughter of Thomas Griffith, actor-manager of the Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin.
